By putting people at the center of our operations, we build strong connections, nurture innovation, and create a fulfilling work experience for all.   Reloction assistance will be provided for this role, if required   About This Role and You   The Lab Quality Manager at our Cairo, OH Ultrapure  sulphuric acid production facility will be  part of a team that meets  the needs for producing highly specialized materials, supporting a rapidly growing semiconductor manufacturing industry, that will be highly dynamic over the next decade.   The Lab Quality Manager will oversee laboratory personnel and activities, provide technical guidance and operational support to develop, maintain and improve laboratories, and associated processes for the for plant with a focus on Ultra-pure Sulfuric Acid. This position will represent a leadership role in Laboratory Management and product quality. This role is dynamic and requires flexibility in meeting ever changing job demands on a strategic and hands on level, while fulfilling day-to-day responsibilities. The Lab Manager will be delivering on multiple priorities in support of the Quality and Operations Teams and business functions. The Lab Manager will support efforts to maintain compliance with Responsible Care® ISO14001, Quality ISO9001and other corporate-sponsored initiatives.    Qualifications   - Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or science related field. - Minimum 5 years’ experience in quality systems - Minimum 3 years’ management experience in a laboratory environment. - Knowledge on an ICP-MS, clean rooms, and wet chemical lab procedures. -  Root Cause Analysis Training and Experience· Working knowledge of Applied Statistics including the use of statistical tools and techniques· Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills· Experience in Project Management -  Ability to train, motivate, coach and work with others -  Strong presentation skills -  Demonstrated experience in change management and leading change· Customer focus including the ability to clearly communicate both oral and written -  Demonstrated values of honesty and integrity, respect for others, teamwork, collaboration, accountability and performance. -  Excellent analytical and problem solving skills (group facilitation, conflict resolution) and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while working in a fast-paced environment. -  Strong PC and Software skills (MS Office, Statistical software) - Travel for training and project support 5-10%   Medical Requirement Chemtrade is committed to the safety and health of its employees and the public. Consult with Chemtrade Legal and Procurement. -  Responsible for budgetary and expenses pertaining to all laboratory equipment, supplies, maintenance and repair. CapEx submission for laboratory related proposals as well as documentation relating to all budgetary and expense related items. -  Drive the accurate and timely installation of new laboratory equipment in relevant labs and support installation of new equipment in operations that have a direct impact on laboratory analysis (e.g. in line sampling ports and meters, particle counters)· Evaluate new technology, improved capabilities, for the industries we serve, customer needs and expectations and continual monitoring and measurement devices and methodologies. This includes, new and existing equipment, designs and construction. -  Support investigations pertaining to internal and external non-conformances and opportunities for improvement. -  Support of Quality and Responsible Care including, not limited to ISO, internal and customer.· Effectively interact with plant personnel and cross-functional resources to understand and interpret manufacturing and laboratory data to drive continuous improvement. -  Provide input and communicate output for site with specific laboratory related information.· Ensure consistency of methodology, equipment, processes, work instructions, forms, inventory and all related laboratory items across plants where possible and appropriate. -  Evaluate the performance of lab equipment, solutions and methodology as well as action items pertaining to resolving non-performance issues. -  Support internal and customer communication and collaboration representing UPA laboratories and analytical matters. -  Responsible for the performance and documentation of laboratory reliability and repeatability testing and validation of methods on a continual basis. This includes, not limited to, GR&R, method and design development, validation and studies, standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides. -  Oversee change management and action items pertaining to laboratory and in support of quality and operations. -  Support operations and quality for each site including providing resources, evaluating the needs of the plant, support of planned and unplanned operational events, troubleshooting and customer related issue or requests. -  Review and validate data on an on-going basis to make data driven decisions, evaluate trends and determine action plans and/or opportunities for improvement. Provide both internal and external reports/documentation as required. -  Provide laboratory support for Quality Engineers in the review of Statistical Process/Quality Control (SPC/SQC), MRB/DRB as needed. -  Utilize and apply basic data-analysis tools such as SPC and Pareto Charts in review of laboratory data to drive process and/or continual improvement activities with laboratory personnel. By putting people at the center of our operations, we build strong connections, nurture innovation, and create a fulfilling work experience for all.   About This Role and About You The Senior Tax Analyst will report to the Senior Tax Manager and indirectly to the Vice President, Taxation, and will play a key role in supporting current and evolving U.S. tax compliance requirements, tax audit defense, consolidated tax accounting and financial reporting, global tax operations and assist in carrying out tax planning projects or initiatives. The Senior Tax Analyst will prepare or review required tax deliverables and will work closely with all members of the Canadian and US tax teams.    Qualifications - 5+ years relevant experience working in a large, complex, multi-national company or major accounting firm (including at least three years corporate tax experience at a major accounting firm). - CPA designation or in-progress pursuit of CPA designation preferred - In-depth knowledge in the areas of corporate taxation and tax accounting is required. - Knowledge in international tax, US tax, transfer pricing, and sales & use tax are assets - Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree (MAcc, MTax, MBA) is an asset - Experience with Longview Tax, SAP, Taxprep, Taxforms, Taxnetpro an asset - A motivated individual with an interest in developing expertise in the tax area - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Ability to evaluate, analyze, prioritize work under tight timelines, and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion of responsibilities. - Team player with good communication, negotiation and presentation skills to interface with cross-functional team members and build strong working relationships with the global tax team.   Responsibilities - Tax Compliance - Support the preparation of US tax returns if needed (i.e. provide data and information). - Responsible for the accurate and timely review and filing of all U.S. Federal and State tax returns and information returns, prepared by third party consultants. - Review quarterly Federal and State estimates and annual filing extensions. - Assist with preparing or reviewing periodic indirect tax calculations including monthly sales tax returns, annual property tax returns and periodic property tax bills. - Assist with remitting all direct and indirect tax payments to taxing authorities. - Assist with maintenance and filing of business tax licenses and ensuring validity. - Maintain adequate sales tax exemption documentation. - Assist the business in research of all tax matters: income, sales & use, property tax, etc. - Tax Accounting - Prepare or review quarterly tax provision, related note disclosures, and supporting analysis working papers, as well as assisting with management of external auditor queries. - Assist in analyzing deferred tax recognition, tax contingencies, and assess impacts of new tax or accounting rules, including modelling potential financial impacts and writing position memos. - Assist in forecasting tax rate and cash taxes for internal plans and external guidance. - Prepare and record tax journal entries to be reviewed by the Senior Tax Manager and Vice President of Tax. - Reconciliation and true up of tax accrual account balances at the end of the year. - Tax Audit Support - Ensure maintenance of audit-ready working papers. - Support income, sales & use, and property tax audit defense in U.S., and assist with global audits (international tax, transfer pricing, foreign subsidiaries) where necessary. - Tax Operations and Projects - Play a key role in process improvement, process automation, technology implementation and change management. - Assist with non-routine tax or business-initiated transactions or projects, as requested, which may include legal entity or debt reorganizations, loss utilization strategies, cash repatriation, cross border transactions, M&A and legal contract review. - Assist with monitoring and maintaining income tax and indirect rates in various financial systems, as well as monitoring for relevant changes in tax rules and regulations. - Drive knowledge sharing and cross-training efforts. - Participate in special projects/adhoc reporting as requested.   What Chemtrade Offers You Embracing Diversity, Maximizing Results At Chemtrade we are committed to cultivating a work environment that embraces and values the unique qualities of every employee. The plant manager ensures the safe operation of the facility, ensures environmental compliance, is accountable for achievement of plant performance objectives and product quality, and monitors plant expenditures and budget. The incumbent will oversee some activities (i.e. manufacturing, maintenance) with his direct reports and will manage/direct others (i.e. quality, EHS, engineers) in coordination with the site Quality Manager, EHS supervisor and Engineering group representative. He/she will also ensure the satisfaction of customers by delivering product on time (working directly or indirectly with Logistics and Customer Service department). The incumbent is also responsible for managing the site CAPEX program. This is the top management position at the facility.   Qualifications  Knowledge  - Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred. - 5+ years’ experience in a related management position preferred. Competencies - Demonstrated hands-on experience in chemical plant operations and maintenance required. - Demonstrated excellent leadership skills - Excellent problem solving skills. - Excellent interpersonal skills. - Effective written and oral communication skills. - Ability to act independently and on own initiative. - Advanced proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel etc) - 0 - 5% travel required. Work includes tank truck  vessel opening, loading and unloading, operation of pumps, piping, valves and general plant upkeep and maintenance. Also, assists the Acid and Shift Utility Operators or other plant personnel as needed. This job requires climbing stairs and ladders and also lifting (within OSHA guidelines). This job consists of outside elements where radiant heat or cold is normal work environment, and rotating shifts.   Qualification Knowledge - High school diploma or GED equivalent. - Relevant experience in an industrial plant environment performing similar duties is preferred. Competencies - Ability to use computer effectively, Microsoft programs, maintenance management system, e-mail, etc. - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, manufacturer’s literature, diagrams or schematics Responsibilities - Perform typical operations requirements such as truck loading and unloading, railcar loading and unloading, connecting/disconnecting hoses, operating valves, troubleshooting equipment/operational problems and operating plant equipment as needed. This position is responsible for driving reliability performance using the most appropriate and effective tools and techniques.
