By putting people at the center of our operations, we build strong connections, nurture innovation, and create a fulfilling work experience for all.     About This Role and You   The Process/Quality Engineer at our Tulsa, OK Ultrapure production facility  is a key partner in a high performing team,  meeting the needs for specialty materials supporting the rapidly growing semiconductor manufacturing industry anticipated to have dynamic growth over the next decade.   This position focuses  on initiating and implementing activities that drive measurable continuous improvement in Environmental, Health & Safety, product quality, process stability, and customer satisfaction.   Qualifications   - College Degree in Engineering - 1 – 2 years’ minimum experience maintaining a quality system and knowledge of statistical process control tools. - Proven experience with quality policies such as ISO 9001:2015 and processes. - Formal Investigation Root Cause Methodology such as 5 why, 8D, Fish bone etc. - Hands on familiarity with statistical software tools such as Minitab etc. - Six sigma green belt preferred but not required. - Must have a strong Microsoft excel knowledge. - Prefer experience with Database management systems but not required. - Must be familiar with other PC applications such as Microsoft Office, MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Power Point. - Ability to manage a quality system and quality audit processes - Ability to perform process/documentation analysis and identify opportunities for improvement - Experience with technical writing for procedures, work instructions, guides and manuals - Excellent people skills, including the ability to maintain positive cross functional department relationships - Project management skills - Customer service focus including the ability to communicate diplomatically; problem solver - Ability to multi-task; experience in project management - Excellent computer skills, including ability to use financial system programs; various email, internet, databases, and other programs used by the Company   Medical Requirement Chemtrade is committed to the safety and health of its employees and the public. All employees are required to complete and pass their annually held medical assessments, including but not limited to the Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) and the ability to wear a respirator as a condition of employment   Responsibilities    - Apply Statistical problem solving techniques such as Pareto analysis, data trending, Design of experiments (DOE), Gage RR etc. to solve and troubleshoot plant process and customer related quality issues; Lead and/or participate in root cause analysis for plant Quality, safety and production issues using tools such as 8D, 5 why or other Six Sigma methods. - Manage plant and customer data requests by generating, monitoring and trending process and customer shipment data on a continuous basis using statistical tools and models. - Leads and/or participates in Lean Six Sigma activities such as Kaizen, Value stream mapping, Roadmap planning, 5S, visual management, SMED, & creation of standard work. - Facilitates and assists with Customer, RC 14001, & ISO audits; assists with resolution of customer complaints as necessary. - Support other Chemtrade locations in implementing Quality and Continuous improvement activities. - Manage customer complaints by developing corrective and/or preventive actions and making sure the implemented actions are complete and effective; Create maintain and drive CAPA, NCR’s to completion. - Develop and initiate reporting systems to gather data on plant/Lab operations. - Prepare and submit monthly and/or weekly plant performance reports to management and customers as required. - Roll out continual improvement activities/tools such as process maps, control plans, etc. to enhance plant quality system. - Performs other continuous improvement duties assigned by management that fall within the expected Scope of this position   Additional Notes - Relocation assistance will be provided   What Chemtrade Offers You   Embracing Diversity, Maximizing Results   At Chemtrade we are committed to cultivating a work environment that embraces and values the unique qualities of every employee. They will troubleshoot and resolve equipment and operating problem and review operating data daily. They will monitor raw material utilization and production yields to ensure most efficient utilization of materials and optimization of quality products as well as ensure environmental compliance for all areas of operation; air, water, and solid. Support and participate in Responsible Care programs to maintain safe working conditions for employees and the environment. Prepare, update and review operation procedures to ensure safe and efficient operation of the facility. By putting people at the center of our operations, we build strong connections, nurture innovation, and create a fulfilling work experience for all.   About This Role and You   The Plant Manager at our Riverton, WY Ultrapure  sulphuric acid production facility will be  part of a team that meets  the needs for producing highly specialized materials, supporting a rapidly growing semiconductor manufacturing industry, that will be highly dynamic over the next decade.   The plant manager ensures the safe operation of the facility, ensures environmental compliance, is accountable for achievement of plant performance objectives including reliability, operability and product quality, and controls plant spending and budget. The plant manager oversees some activities (i.e. manufacturing, maintenance) with his direct reports, and will also manages through influence (i.e. quality, EHS, engineers) in coordination with the site Quality Manager, EHS supervisor and Engineering group representative. The plant manager also ensures the satisfaction of customers by delivering product on time (working directly or indirectly with Logistics and Customer Service department). The Plant Manager is also responsible for managing execution and reporting and forecasting the site CAPEX plan. This is the top management position at the facility.    Qualifications   · Bachelor of Science Degree. Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred. · minimum 7-10 years’ experience in a related management position preferred. · Demonstrated hands-on experience in chemical plant operations · Demonstrated proficiency in critical thinking, can anticipate future outcomes and put forward-looking strategies. · Ability to break down silos and work collaboratively across the organization and with multi-faceted teams. · Proactively promotes a commitment to change, and creates an environment that empowers others to adapt, advance, evolve and improve. · Engaged in the development and growth of diverse teams. · Maintains a deep understanding of internal and external customers in order to address both current and anticipated needs. · The ability to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels of the organization. · Demonstrated excellent leadership skills · Excellent problem solving skills. 6-sigma green belt, black belt or champion training highly desired · Excellent interpersonal skills. · Effective written and oral communication skills. · Ability to act independently and on own initiative. · Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel etc) · 5 - 10% travel required. Leads Quality Incident reviews o Assures product deliveries meets customers’ requirements o Member of UPA plant network team. o Provides technical support for customers as required o Ensures proper staffing of the plant, leads hiring for vacancies. o Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the site operations. o Focus on Continuous Improvement activities/projects to support value-addition and cost reductions.     o Interface with Chemtrade and other personnel regarding safety, EHS audits and addressing EHS issues. 25% o Responsible for the overall safety performance at the site/plant. o Perform routine daily plant walks to monitor activities and safety issues, reports STOP observation weekly o Periodically (weekly) audit work being performed to ensure that all Chemtrade policies, standards and procedures are being followed. o Serve as the management representative for the site’s Responsible Care program. o Ensure timely reporting, investigation, and corrective action for EHS incidents, leads incident investigations. o Ensure timely closure of IMS action items. Tracks and reports AI closure o Assure site compliance with all federal, state and local regulatory requirements o Assist in the preparation of site specific safety and maintenance procedures. o Participates in GAP and regulatory Audits and leads corrective action closure for Audits.     o Interface with customers, regulators, and Chemtrade personnel on quality audits, and on addressing quality issues. 25% o Serve as the management representative for the site’s ISO program. o Represent the site in customer audits. o Assist in or provide resources for quality investigations. o Assist in or provide resources for corrective actions. o Assure plant is maintaining requisite ISO records o Assure site compliance with ISO and NSF requirements o Assist in the preparation of site specific quality procedures o Reviews and approves Process Control Plans, including CIP     o Report and communicate site performance. All employees are required to complete and pass their annually held medical assessments, including but not limited to the Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) and the ability to wear a respirator as a condition of employment.    Responsibilities   o Actively manage the site’s day to day activities in the production of safe, quality products. 20% o Leads daily plant coordination and communication meeting. Attends shift turnover meetings at least weekly. o Reviews and controls plant spending o Reviews daily QA reports, does not allow shipment of non-conforming materials. Leads Quality Incident reviews o Assures product deliveries meets customers’ requirements o Member of UPA plant network team. o Provides technical support for customers as required o Ensures proper staffing of the plant, leads hiring for vacancies. o Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the site operations. o Focus on Continuous Improvement activities/projects to support value-addition and cost reductions.     o Interface with Chemtrade and other personnel regarding safety, EHS audits and addressing EHS issues. 25% o Responsible for the overall safety performance at the site/plant. o Perform routine daily plant walks to monitor activities and safety issues, reports STOP observation weekly o Periodically (weekly) audit work being performed to ensure that all Chemtrade policies, standards and procedures are being followed. o Serve as the management representative for the site’s Responsible Care program. o Ensure timely reporting, investigation, and corrective action for EHS incidents, leads incident investigations. o Ensure timely closure of IMS action items. Tracks and reports AI closure o Assure site compliance with all federal, state and local regulatory requirements o Assist in the preparation of site specific safety and maintenance procedures. o Participates in GAP and regulatory Audits and leads corrective action closure for Audits.     o Interface with customers, regulators, and Chemtrade personnel on quality audits, and on addressing quality issues. 25% o Serve as the management representative for the site’s ISO program. o Represent the site in customer audits. o Assist in or provide resources for quality investigations. o Assist in or provide resources for corrective actions. o Assure plant is maintaining requisite ISO records o Assure site compliance with ISO and NSF requirements o Assist in the preparation of site specific quality procedures o Reviews and approves Process Control Plans, including CIP     o Report and communicate site performance. Prepare Plans 15% o Prepare periodic reports on production, spending, reliability, EHS, Capex, etc. o Prepare and present same at periodic meetings. o Prepare weekly performance reports o Prepare annual production plans. o Prepare maintenance PM and outage plans. o Prepare capital and period cost spending plans     o Interface with sales and marketing to ensure site goals are aligned with the business goals. 10% o Participate in periodic planning meetings. o Review production orders and schedules to ensure material (type, quantity and specification) is available for scheduled orders. o Provide site resources for maintaining a living production and shipping plan that is consistent with the business plans. o Interface with customer service and customers as needed.     o Mentor and develop site personnel & Other Activities 5% o Perform annual performance reviews o Prepare SMART – (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Timely) site goals for direct reports o Help direct reports in career planning and training o Prepare and maintain site personnel continuity plans o Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by the Regional Manager.     What Chemtrade Offers You   Embracing Diversity, Maximizing Results   At Chemtrade we are committed to cultivating a work environment that embraces and values the unique qualities of every employee.
